Some of my favorite parts were the hands-on instruction. I learn more by seeing and doing than just reading. I like everything about MTI! The class taught us beyond spa style massage with a more medical based approach to help people heal. I enjoyed learning at MTI and will miss the classes!

I was a food service manager at a hospital for the last few years and the stress of the job was affecting my health and I knew I couldn’t continue. However at 55 years old, the thought of going back to school and making a career change was very scary to say the least. After talking to Michael he put me at ease and told me that I could do this. Michael is a great teacher who is a great massage therapist. He teaches with humor, expertise, compassion and a love for the students. I know I could not have done this with a different teacher. I also felt like there was a bonding between the other students and myself and that really helped. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.

“I discovered MTI through the local paper. I was fortunate enough to have had a massage therapist that did some research on Michael and his school and found one of her colleagues had attended MTI a few years back and had nothing but positive things to say. From how well the school is run and how great of an instructor Michael is really made me comfortable committing to MTI.
When I graduated high school I really didn't know what I wanted to do in life. I spent quite a few years trying to figure it out. By the time I realized I really enjoyed muscles and knowing how the human body works, I was caught up in bills, trying to stay ahead but never in a position to be able to quit my job and go back to school. MTI allows you to be able to keep working and be able to do your course work when it is convenient to you as long as you maintain the curriculum schedule. Without this option I would have never been able to go back to school.
Even though Michael is the best massage therapist that I have ever had work on me, his true calling in life and gift to us is his ability to teach massage. His ability to teach us about the muscles and the human body is truly amazing. He truly cares about his students and he wants to make us better therapist and better people. He teaches his classes in a way that the goal is not so much about the grade you can get, but the understanding of the material being taught. The grades come easy if you are able to comprehend the material and Michael does a great job of teaching us what we truly need to know.
MTl has made my dreams come true. I am truly blessed to be able to make a career out of massage therapy and have the opportunity to make a positive change in people’s lives. There are not too many jobs out there that make people feel better. From people with injuries to people with stress, massage can truly be one of the most important factors in a healthy, happy, life!

I have always wanted to work in healthcare for as long as I can remember. Growing up watching my father in his profession as a chiropractor was always fascinating. To see so many people helped and healed naturally was exciting. Paths changed, plans changed and adulthood began. I was married two years after graduating from high school and have been a stay at home mom for the last 10 years. My youngest started school and a burning desire to begin a career of my own started to take hold. I found Michael’s advertisement for MTI in the Hungry Horse News. The tug on my heart became a squeeze, and with only a few days left before the deadline, I was signed up to begin a journey I never imagined could be so fulfilling and exciting.
MTI was an awesome experience from day one. I didn’t have any idea there was so much to learn! Mike has a truly God-given gift for teaching. Every class was fun and left me anticipating our next weekend together. He is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled professional. Mike believed in each and every one of us and was passionate about making us successful massage therapists. While I will miss my time at MTI, I feel confident in the tools and skills have been given to become a great therapist. My career will begin as a private practice in my father’s chiropractic business. Life has come full circle. I will now be working alongside another seasoned professional, whom I so greatly admired growing up and to this day. With the knowledge I have gained from MTI and the resources I will have, my goal of becoming good at what I do and helping people is limitless.
